Licensing and Insurance
 

For the welfare of animals and the safety of your children when planning events involving animals, we suggest you keep in mind the obligation for animators to hold the following permits.
 

Compulsary permits

• Public liability insurance worth 5M ;
• Permit to hold animals in captivity (from the Ministry of Forests, Wildlife and Parks) ;
• Permit from the Canada Food Inspection Agency (CFIA).

Other obligations safety and welfare measures

• Exotic Veterinarian assigned to Educazoo : Dr. Manon Tremblay ;
• Partner Exotic Veterinary Centers
  Emergency Veterinary Center Laval 24h, Veterinary Hospital Le Gardeur Inc (Repentigny), University Veterinary Hospital Center (Ste-Hyacinthe) ;
• Association with Environment Canada for items seized by CITES.
  Items seized by CITES were the fruits of poaching (ivory, python skins, furs, marine turtle shells…) We present these items during our animations in order to increase public awareness of the importance of animal conservation.
