Coco, a curious and sometimes egocentric cockatoo, will have to learn to listen to others and understand their emotions. Alongside him, six species from the refuge share their own emotional experiences. Through these interactions, “Coco and the Emotions” addresses six basic emotions: fear, sadness, joy, disgust, surprise and anger. An innovative approach that normalizes and illustrates emotions while captivating the imagination of young people thanks to concrete examples taken from the animal world. 

 

An effective tool to help children
This book is intended for children ages 12 and under. It combines learning and creativity to dive into the fascinating world of emotions. Through stories and exercises developed by specialists, young people learn to recognize, express and regulate their emotions while observing the same behaviors in animals. This book aims to strengthen their empathy, their listening skills and their ability to better interact with those around them.
