Animal activities for daycares centers and family daycare settings
Éducazoo offers 3 formats of educational animal activities for daycares, early childhood centers and family daycare settings: an activity directly at your facility, an outdoor activity during the summer season, or a live virtual activity.
Each format is designed for early childhood and adapted to the children’s age.
Choose the one that best suits your setting, schedule and groups.
Option 1
An immersive animal experience directly at your daycare center
A naturalist educator comes to your facility with a selection of domestic and exotic animals. Children can observe, touch and handle the animals when appropriate, in a safe environment that respects animal welfare.
―
Because attention spans develop rapidly during early childhood, we recommend different activity durations depending on age:
―
The number of animals and choice of species are adapted to the children’s age and the duration of the activity:
―
Each group receives its own animal activity. For example:
Our team works with you to create the schedule based on your groups and daily routine. For larger facilities, 2 or 3 naturalist educators can lead activities simultaneously in different rooms.
A unique experience that brings children closer to the animal world.
Option 2
An animal activity in the yard of your daycare center
During the warmer months, Éducazoo can also offer an outdoor animal activity. Since our animals have specific temperature requirements, our biologists have selected species that can participate in these activities while ensuring their well-being.
―
Outdoor activities can last from 15 to 45 minutes, depending on the children’s age and the format selected. As with our indoor activities, the recommended duration is adapted to the attention span of each age group.
―
Depending on the duration of the activity, 3 to 6 species are presented from our outdoor selection:
The selection is determined by our biologists. To ensure the animals’ well-being, no changes or requests for specific species are possible for an outdoor activity.
―
The naturalist educator sets up in a protected outdoor space and introduces the animals to the children in an interactive and age-appropriate way.
Children discover the characteristics of the different species and can interact with them when conditions and the animal’s well-being allow.
An outdoor activity designed for little ones, combining discovery, wonder and fun.
Option 3
An interactive live animal experience, right from your daycare
The virtual activity allows your daycare, early childhood center or family daycare setting to meet Éducazoo animals live via videoconference. The naturalist educator adapts their approach to the children’s age to create a dynamic, educational and interactive activity.
―
Three durations are available:
Ideally, we recommend a maximum of 20 children per group to encourage interaction and engagement with the educator.
―
Children meet more than 8 exotic species during the virtual experience.
The video format makes it possible to showcase a wide variety of animals while allowing children to observe them up close on screen.
―
The activity takes place live on our professional Zoom platform. The educator introduces the animals and engages the children throughout the experience:
An interactive experience that allows children to explore the animal world without leaving their daycare.
―
For an immersive experience that allows children to meet, touch and handle the animals directly in their daycare setting.
―
To enjoy an animal activity in the yard during the summer season, with a selection of species adapted to outdoor conditions.
―
To meet several animals and take part in an interactive live activity, without bringing animals to your facility.
Regardless of the format you choose, Éducazoo will work with you to adapt the activity to the children’s age, the number of groups, and the specific needs of your daycare center or family daycare setting.
