A Weekend of Fascinating Animal Discoveries: Éducazoo at the Learning Fair and Terrebonne Easter Expo

On April 12 and 13, the Éducazoo team had the great pleasure of participating in two major public events: the Learning Fair and the Easter Exhibition at Galeries de Terrebonne. These two days were filled with educational discovery, engaging conversations, and meaningful encounters with hundreds of visitors interested in animal science and biodiversity.

An Educational and Immersive Experience at the Learning Fair

Throughout the weekend, Éducazoo’s presence at the Learning Fair allowed families, educators, and nature enthusiasts to explore a diverse selection of exotic species. Our interactive booth quickly became a focal point for those eager to learn about lesser-known animals and the ecological roles they play within their native environments.

Experiential Learning with Éducazoo

Our team of naturalists delivered dynamic presentations tailored to a range of age groups, in an atmosphere designed to be both informative and enjoyable. Each interaction was an opportunity to foster environmental awareness and encourage deeper connections between children and the natural world.

Highlights from the Learning Fair included:

  • Well-attended lectures by Éducazoo’s president, Joanie Asselin, on biodiversity and conservation.

  • Engaging questions and enthusiastic reactions from audiences discovering our sugar gliders.

  • Insightful exchanges with educators interested in integrating our programs into their curriculum.

Springtime Outreach at Galeries de Terrebonne

Simultaneously, a second Éducazoo team led activities at the Easter Exhibition in Galeries de Terrebonne—a festive and family-friendly setting ideal for showcasing our exotic animals in a more casual, accessible format.

A Dual-Zone Interactive Exhibit

To better serve our diverse audience, the booth was divided into two zones:

  • A discovery area featuring exotic animals and their unique adaptations.

  • A special Easter-themed zone highlighting species symbolically linked to springtime.

Memorable Moments from the Easter Exhibition:

  • Children captivated by our parrots and their complex social behavior.

  • Smiles all around during cuddle sessions with our rabbits and guinea pigs.

  • The pride of young visitors bravely touching an exotic lizard for the very first time.

Throughout both events, our naturalist educators remained available to provide scientific explanations, answer questions, and raise awareness about the importance of respecting animals and preserving their natural habitats.

Stay tuned for our upcoming events!
