A naturalist educator, dressed in a safari-style explorer costume, comes directly to your daycare, early childhood center or home-based daycare with a selection of domestic and exotic animals based on the chosen theme. 

 

Specially designed for young children, our programs allow children to discover, observe, touch and handle different species in a safe environment that respects animal welfare. The animals presented are considered non-allergenic.

A Duration Adapted to Each Age Group

 

 

Here is what your morning could look like:

Because children’s attention spans and pace change quickly during early childhood, we recommend a different program duration for each age group.

 

• 9:00 to 9:20 a.m.: Infants (± 10 children) 
• 9:25 to 9:55 a.m.: 18 months to 2 years (± 16 children) 
• 10:00 to 10:30 a.m.: 2 to 3 years (± 16 children) 
• 10:35 to 11:15 a.m.: 3 to 4 years (± 16 children) 
• 11:20 a.m. to 12:20 p.m.: 4 to 5 years (± 20 children)
   

The schedule can be adapted according to the number of groups and your facility’s routine. A single visit allows each group to enjoy its own program, with a duration and animals suited to their age.

 

Have a large facility? We can come with 2 or 3 naturalist educators and run programs simultaneously in different rooms with the same animals! Our team will work with you to create a schedule based on the children’s ages, the number of groups and the recommended program duration for each group.

The duration, number of animals presented and choice of species are adapted to the children’s age. Younger children enjoy a short and dynamic program, while older children can take part in a longer experience and discover more animals.

Our animal programs are specially designed for young children, transforming each encounter into a hands-on educational experience. The different themes help stimulate areas of children’s development through observation, play, interaction and handling: touching fur, observing a shell, comparing textures or discovering how an animal moves.

 

Guided by a naturalist educator, children can observe, touch and handle the animals when appropriate, while learning how to approach them gently and respectfully. Each child participates at their own pace and comfort level, making the activity an educational, sensory and positive experience.
